On May 7, Ambassador Chen Chuandong met with Karim Souaid, Govenor of Banque du Liban.

Ambassador Chen said that China and Lebanon enjoy friendly relations, and China is ready to deepen practical cooperation between the two countries and share development opportunities. The Chinese government recently provided emergency supplies to Lebanon to help alleviate the humanitarian crisis and will continue to provide assistance to the best of its ability.

Governor Souaid thanked China for the assistance and support and expressed his willingness to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China in areas such as trade and economy.
